Asana: Notifications

This article provides direction on how to set up and customize your Asana notifications.

Notifications

In "Settings", toggle over from Profile to Notifications to get these set up and follow the steps below.

1. Browser Notifications You can choose to have your browser notifications either show all messages that are sent, just ones where you are tagged, or none at all. You will select “All Activity” to ensure that all tags, notifications, or messages are routed to you correctly so you don’t miss anything.

2. Project Notifications: We recommend you toggle ‘on’ each of the options so you can be alerted the same way with status updates, messages, and added tasks.

3. Email Notifications: This is up to your personal preference, so you may want to receive email notifications for now and then go back and update as you try it out. However, Slack is easier because you can scroll through better and won’t get your Inbox overloaded.

You can choose to opt in to the daily summaries & weekly reports notifications, which are email rollups of how many tasks that you are a part of that have an upcoming due date or maybe overdue, etc.

4. Do Not Disturb: You can choose when you want to turn off your notifications temporarily by selecting Pause Notifications, or more regularly by selecting time blocks or full days in the “Schedule” section.

Note, this is different than setting up PTO alerts in the ‘About Me’ section.
